About me

I'm curious by nature and I'm always looking to learn something new. I've always had a deep interest in technology, so I altered the course of my career into IT in 2017. I've been growing ever since! Through the testing ground of my first tech job on a help desk to my current position as a Sr. DevOps Engineer, there's been no shortage of things to learn to keep my mind active.

My hobbies include running several self-hosted services in my home lab, including the Home Assistant home automation platform. For a while a few years ago, I maintained a YouTube channel. When it's time to step away from the computer, I play a bit of guitar and am a movie nerd too.

When it comes to work, AWS is my specialty. I've worked in the AWS space for over 5 years now, and have achieved the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional designation. I'm also very well versed in Infrastructure As Code, particularly using Terraform. I see Kubernetes as my next challenge. I've earned the Certified Kubernetes Associate certification in anticipation of the time I'll have the opportunity to use this knowledge in a production environment.
